David Russell

David Russell is a director and a property consultant at Harcourts Burnie. The Harcourts philosophy is what first attracted David to the company. Their professionalism and integrity is second to none. David had a diverse career path before deciding to come to Tasmania from Victoria in 1977. He was the manager of a hotel in Burnie for 10 years before finding his niche in real estate. David enjoys the challenge of this industry and finds it a good talking point as well. Dealing with people is another aspect that David enjoys about working in property. Each day offers new and exciting challenges and opportunities. Now in the real estate industry since the late 1990’s, David has a truckload of experience to bring to Harcourts Burnie. David has been breeding stud Hereford cattle for years including champions at The Hereford National Show, Sydney Royal Show, Melbourne Royal Show and Tasmanian shows. Sarah Elphinstone

Sarah started her real estate career in 2008 as a receptionist and by working hard and embracing every learning opportunity, was quickly moved into the Property Management Department. After a short break travelling and working interstate, Sarah returned to our beautiful North West Coast to settle down and start a family. In 2011 due to her previous performance with other companies, the Harcourts Burnie Management team asked her to join them and take a key role in the Property Management department, working with the existing team streamlining the department and creating systems and procedures in what was really a fledgling business. From there, Sarah has become an integral part of the core business which has seen her develop into not only a great Residential Property Portfolio Manager, but also the leading local Commercial Property Manager, culminating in wins as the Individual Property Portfolio Manager of the year at the Harcourts Tasmania State Awards three years running from 2011-2014 and also helping elevate the team to win Property Management Excellence and Business Development Awards. In the last three years Sarah has also been rewarded for her dedication and hard work by winning consecutive Harcourts Tasmania State Awards for Business Development Manager for 2016-17 and 2017-18, all while juggling the challenges of a young family, at times even covering other roles while in a part time capacity. Sarah has recently stepped into a role as Property Consultant in the Burnie area. With over 12 years of real estate experience behind her, Sarah is certain to make waves as she continues to progress her passion for property. Mikaela Whiteroad

Mikaela joined the Harcourts Burnie team after several years industry experience with another local agency working as a receptionist, assistant property manager and portfolio property manager. As your dedicated property manager, Mikaela will be happy to assist you regarding any aspect of your investment property from statements, maintenance, and lease renewals through to general updates and will strive to create and maintain a long term business relationship. Mikaela’s computer skills, extra attention to detail, knowledge of the local area along with her effective communication skills are some of her strongest assets. Joining the team early 2018 is Marlee, who changed careers from hospitality to real estate in our Burnie office. Having been in customer service roles from a very young age, Marlee brings to our team a passion for being of service to everyone in her path. Marlee began at Harcourts Burnie as our Receptionist and has since made her way to Marketing Manager, looking after the marketing of sale properties amongst other things.
