“I don’t give a damn about my income, my commission; if I can do something extraordinary to help someone and do the right thing, the universe will take care of my pocket.”

Born in Wales, Warren’s family moved to Tasmania in 1972 and he has been in love with the area ever since: “It is an extraordinary, safe and wonderful place to live, whether you want lifestyle property, urban property, a place near the beach, in the hills, or on the flat. In terms of convenience, everything is here for you, there is a friendly culture and a strong sense of community”.

From the age of twenty, Warren Lashmar was encouraged to join the real-estate industry: “I get along with everyone”.

Father to two children aged ten and thirteen, Warren previously earned a professional income as a tour operator, but struggled being away from his family for stretches of sometimes six days at a time: “I needed my family; it’s all about them”. He got his opportunity in real-estate when a friend who worked as a partner in a real-estate agency took a chance on him – and it is not difficult to see why.

“Every agent is a brand within a brand.” Warren believes his brand to be one of positivity and professionalism, with a hint of hyperactivity. He enjoys writing his own script to ensure his unique character is demonstrated through his words: “I wish to exceed people’s expectations so they can be happy with the results they achieve. I wish for people to feel a sense of trust towards me and Harcourts in general, and leave every interaction with a warm fuzzy feeling of satisfaction”.

Working as a sales consultant and REIT accredited auctioneer with Harcourts for the past nine years, Warren considers the highlight of his job making both vendors and purchasers happy: “Day to day it can be easy to forget the significance of our role; we are helping people with their largest financial decision”.

Despite his lack of academic qualification, Warren received an invaluable education in human behaviour through working in his mother’s pub: “From the ages of fifteen to twenty-three I grew up in the pub; I met people from all walks of life”.

Day-to-day Warren holds open homes and inspections, develops listings and sells properties, ensuring that in each task he undertakes he demonstrates honesty, care and empathy. He takes pride in being a proactive agent: “My strong conscience ensures I always do the right thing by others”.
